From high school football star to walk-on football player at Laurier University, and the creative mind behind McDonald's Canada’s Space Jam 2 commercial?
Meet Patrick James, a former high school football star who walked on to Wilfrid Laurier’s football team and became a key contributor during his time there. In his final season, he was selected as a U-Sports Academic All-Canadian. He successfully leveraged his transferable skills from football to transition into life after sports.

He previously held roles in Marketing and Partnership at MLSE and Toronto International Film Festival.
He is currently a senior product manager at TELUS and is also involved with Rexdale Youth Mentorship, which aims to support youth development in the city.
Patrick graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, which helped him develop a strong understanding of the business side of sports during his transition to life after sports.
